Relative Analgesia (Happy Gas)

The Team at Newtown Elite Dental take pride in offering a level of care that goes beyond excellent dental treatment but one that is also comfortable and pain free. We see a lot of patients who are dentally anxious or have had prior dental experiences that have kept them away from the dental setting for years. So we are happy to be able to provide an additional service that will make your dental visit as comfortable as possible.

Also known as happy gas, relative analgesia or inhalation sedation, the Team at Newtown Elite Dental have had special training in the administration and use of Relative Analgesia for dental treatment.

The effects of relative analgesia are reversible. At the end of the treatment, it will be completely flushed out of your system with 100% oxygen for 4 minutes, so you will be able to safely go about your day as usual or drive home without needing to be escorted.

It is a good idea to avoid alcohol intake and to eat lightly prior to your procedure. Avoid coming in on an empty stomach and avoid a big meal for three hours afterward.
